West and Mary Lynn Kotz is the author of this informative world. He is loyal to every president which arrives in White House for four years or eight years. This book was published in 1973 who started his job in 1941 as the assistant of chief usher in White House. After a few years, he becomes usher and retires in 1969. The author describes his career from the Nixon administration to the FDR presidency. He has direct experience while working with the First Ladies. West discusses various thing with them such as the management of employees and details of the mansion. There are some employees in the mansion who are just to serve mansion, not the President. He has different experiences with the First Ladies but there is one thing common among all that these ladies are sweet. Some ladies are interested to take things in their own hands like interior designing and decorating of the house etc. there are some emotional scenes which discusses the deaths of JFK, FDR along with the illness of DDE. He shares their relations with the people around them. This book is filled with the information of First Ladies management abilities, their relation with the spouses and the behaviour of their kids.
