The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet Book Summary

“The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet” is about a calmly thoughtful, humane tour de force that attempts politics and gender issues with stimulating optimism and hopefulness. This novel has been authored by Becky Chambers. She born in California, worked in a theatre and after a few years, moves towards writing. She is a creative writer and authored The Toast, Pornokitsch, The Mary Sue, and Five Out of Ten. The title “The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet” provides you fair warning: this is a road tour book. The road trip just happens to engage a little spaceship namely the Wayfarer that makes diminutive hyperspace bypasses for a living. And while there aren’t some Vogons in the middle of the ship’s crew, there are a number of non-humanoid unfamiliar, as well as a gorgeous and delightful multi-armed chef thing and a sexy female lizard person. The central character is Rosemary, a young human woman who has preferred to journey far from home in order to run away the stigma of a scandal back on Mars. Rosemary’s first space journey just happens to correspond with the Wayfarer’s Big Break–an occasion to construct the first bridge the multi-species Galactic Commons (GC) and a mysterious (and possibly very angry) alien race that dwells near the enormous core.
