The partition held in 1947 in the Asian countries left hundreds of horror stories for their next generations. Gulzar is witnessed of all the events happened and he never forgets these moments out from his memory. His writing is a mix which includes the fiction, nonfiction, and poems in the book. He tears apart while describing the loss of the humanity in the isolation of Hindustan. There are thousands of people killed on both sides for the sake of power. The thousands of people move from one to another on the behalf of their religion and only a few of them will mark it to their place. No one is caring the humanity, the blood is everywhere in Pakistan and Hindustan. The thousands of girls are raped and hundreds of girl did the suicide to save their virginity. There are small children and old fellows who don’t have the strength to fight for a living, they are butchered as well. The partition is not for killing, it is to provide the peace and happiness to the people. Our past still affects in our lives and we can’t remove it from our mind.
