Educational Qualifications

• Candidates should have a Degree in Law from any University in India or any Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or equivalent from a recognized Board/ University/ Institution.
• Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of the State (Provisionally enrolled shall also be eligible).
•  Candidates must have Basic Knowledge of Computer Applications / Operations.
• Acquaintance of vernacular Language.

Age Limit

• Candidates age limit shall not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years.
• Candidates born between 31/12/1986 & 31/12/2004, shall be eligible to apply
• Age Relaxation: – SC/ ST /OBC/PWD/ PH Candidates Relaxation as per Government Rule Regulation.

• Starting Date for Submission of Online Application: 15 December 2022.
• Closing Date for Submission of Online Application: 31 December 2022.
• Date of Written Test (Objective Type – MCQs): 22 January 2023 (Sunday) (Tentative).
• Viva-voce Test (Oral Interview): Month of February – 2023 (Tentative).

Selection Process

• Candidates will be selected based on the Written Test, and Viva-voce Test (Oral Interview).

Scheme of Exam

• Written Test [Objective Type – MCQs]	[100 Marks]
  Viva-voce Test [Oral Interview]	[40 Marks]

Written Test (Objective Type – MCQs)

• The Written Test (Objective Type – MCQs), shall be conducted at Ahmedabad at the venue, as may be decided by the High Court, comprising 100 Marks, of 2 hours duration, consisting of 100 – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each of 01 Mark, with Negative Marking of 0.25 Mark for each Wrong / Multiple Answer.
• The Language of the Question Paper of the Written Test (Objective Type – MCQs) will be English.
• The Written Test (Objective Type – MCQs) shall be administered through an OMR Sheet and shall be evaluated by OMR Sheet Scanning Machine and therefore, re-evaluation, rechecking/reassessment of OMR Sheets, will not be entertained by the High Court.
• The candidates securing a minimum of 50% Marks in the Written Test (Objective Type – MCQs), alone shall be eligible for being called for Viva-Voce Test.
• In case, a large number of Candidates qualify for the Written Test, it shall be open for the High Court, to restrict the number of Candidates as deemed necessary, according to Merit, to proceed to the next stage.

Viva-voce Test (Oral Interview)

• The suitability of the Candidates, at the Viva-voce Test, will be assessed on the basis of their Personality, Aptitude and Orientation, Computer Application Skills, Presentation Skills, Communication Skills, Legal knowledge of candidates & Research ability, etc.
• For being eligible to be included in the Select List/Wait List, the candidate shall have to obtain minimum 40% Marks in the Viva-voce Test.

Selection of Candidates

• The Select List / Wait List (if any) will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the Candidates in the Written Test (60% Weightage will be given to the marks obtained in the Written Test) & Marks obtained in Viva-voce Test.
• The Wait List shall be operated only in case of non-joining of candidate(s) or cancellation of candidature of candidate(s) due to any reason(s), amongst the candidates, enlisted in the Select List
