Educational Qualifications

• Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B): Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial and Technician-A (TECH-A): Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial: Bachelor Degree in Agriculture / Agricultural Science, Science B.SC in Botany, Engineering Diploma Chemical Engineering / Technology, Bachelor Degree in Science B.SC in Chemistry/Chemical Science, Bachelor Degree in Science with 1 Year Diploma in Library Science, Class 10th High School with ITI Certificate in Related Trade / Branch, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial: Engineering Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Diploma in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering at Any Recognized Institute in India, Bachelor Degree in Science B.SC Instrumentation OR Diploma in Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control Engineering or equivalent from a recognized Board/ University/Institution.

Age Limit

• Candidates must be between 18 years and 28 years of age (Relaxable for SC/ST/BC- NCL/ ESM/ PwBD/Widows/ Divorced Women)/ Women Judicially separated from their husbands who are not remarried, departmental candidates with three years of continuous service in central government, Disabled Defence Services Personnel Domiciled in J&K Stae During the period from 1/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 as per extant Govt of India rules.

Selection Process

For the post of STA-B: The selection process will consist of Tier–I (Screening Test) and Tier-II (Final Selection): Tier-I and Tier-II will be conducted in (CBT) Computer Based Test mode. The Score of Tier-I (CBT) may be normalized per requirement.

• Tier-I and Tier-II will consist of objective-type multiple choice questions only.
• The tier-I exam is for screening and Tier-II is for final selection.

For the post of Tech-A: The selection process will consist of Tier–I (CBT) and Tier-II (Trade Test)

• The Score of Tier-I (CBT) may be normalized as per requirement.
• The Tier-I (CBT) will consist of objective type-multiple choice questions only.
• The tier-I examination is for Provisional selection and Tier-II (Trade Test) is qualifying in nature.
• Trade Test will be of ITI level in the related trade, to test the practical skills of the candidates. The test may be of about one to two hours duration.
