“The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference” is well written, thought-provoking, belief challenging and thorough book of self-development. It is a very well-written in first person narrative explaining the phenomenon of why some products, businesses, slogans, ideas, etc., take off and become wildly successful, tip while others never seem to stand apart to break out from the masses. Malcolm Gladwell is the guy behind this book. Gladwell has been a staff writer at The New Yorker since 1996. His other popular books are Blink, Outliers, and What the Dog Saw. In “The Tipping Point” Gladwell is adept at explaining the academic research that led to such popular ideas as “six degrees of separation” and relating such social science experimentation to his overall theme of how change happens. He goes deeply into the discoveries about learning that led to the success of “Sesame Street” and “Blue’s Clues”. It states that to start an epidemic, three rules need to apply. After this, it goes through them in details with historical events and takes us through this fascinating journey.
