Maru is the teens, paranormal, thriller, literature and fiction novel which describe the story of a young passionate girl who has issues with the culture around her. Bessie Head is the author of this impressive novel. She is known as one of the best African writers in history. Bessie born in South Africa and spend her life in Botswana. She is the author of various fiction books and all of them are highly appreciated by readers. Margaret Cadmore is the main protagonist of the novel. She is an orphaned girl since her childhood. Despite, the fact of poor finances and lack of facilities Margaret still manages to continue her studies. Now, Margaret has completed her education and thinking to take a new turn in her life by teaching children. She has decided to teach the kids of Botswana village. When she first moved there, she can’t believe what in going on there. The people of villages are kept as slaves and they have no right to get an education. Strong people are against her and they wanted to exile her from the village as soon as possible. If these kids begin to educate then who will work on their farms. Margaret is stubborn and she never achieves anything without risking everything she has. These poor people are the victims of injustice and on a racial basis. Her life is on a stake if she doesn’t go away in a few days. Will Margaret step back or continue her mission?
