Ham On Rye is the literature, fiction and thriller novel which describe the childhood story of the author in the semi-biographical pattern. Charles Bukowski is the author of this remarkable novel. Henry Chinaski is born in a poor family whose family barely meets his daily needs. He wanted to pursue his education but he did not have many facilities. Henry does not want to compromise on his dreams and looking for some ways to accomplish his life goals. He physically abused by his father regularly and he is growing in a difficult environment. The life is never as easy as expected and he knows from the very first day. His mother is very corporative and she always gives him to stand for his life. While growing up in limited career opportunities he never let his dream die of becoming a writer. He wanted to become a writer but he even barely reads what’s written on the page. The boy picks up the papers from streets and other places to read. He spends most of his time reading and now he is master of reading books by getting their moral lessons. Henry is ready for writing his own book and this book may change his life forever. He has years of struggle behind and his mother believes on him.
