The author, Maria, emphasizes the importance of eating healthy Whole Foods, autocorrects kept capitalizing. This is more than just a cookbook. We do eat dairy just not as much as people think and is not our main source of fat. In the book, Maria emphasized the importance of eating meat-based fat, for example, bacon, tallow, butter, and eggs. Also plant-based fat, such as avocado or coconut oil. She includes many amazing meals ranging from breakfast to dinner and even dessert. Yes, keto dessert is possible using natural delicious sweeteners that have little to no effect on blood sugar and ketones, which allows you to stay in ketosis. Some of these that Maria recommends are Swerve (erythritol) or Monk Fruit. Both of these are diabetic friendly. This diet is fantastic for diabetics because it keeps the blood sugar steady and gives your pancreas a break from producing insulin.
